Description
Park House is a villa, now used as an office, built in 1848. It features white-painted stucco on brick with a slate roof and has an irregular rectangular plan in the Gothick style. The building is two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-window facade. This facade is composed of two projecting gables connected by a narrow one-storey link that contains a two-centred arched doorway with a moulded surround and a fanlight featuring Y-tracery. Above the doorway, there is a deck protected by a balustrade of cusped arches. Each of the flanking gables has a large four-light canted bay window at the ground floor, adorned with a quatrefoil frieze and cast-iron cresting. At the first floor, there is a segmental-pointed two-light casement window, a star-shaped oculus in the apex, and projected verges with ornamental bargeboards. The east return side, facing Didsbury Park, is designed in a similar style. The rear and interior of the building were not inspected.
