Description
Bast House Cottage is probably from the early 18th century. It is built of stone, with a brick buttress and gable on the right-hand end, and was originally part of a larger house. The cottage is two storeys high and has two windows visible from the front. The right-hand window is a three-light design with renewed stone mullions and a dripmould. The left-hand window has round-headed lights and a label, but the first-floor window on the left is blind and likely a date panel. Other round-headed and mullioned windows are found on the side walls. The roof is slate. A later rear wing has been added.
