Description

This building is a block of back-to-back cottages, now functioning as six houses, dating from around 1830 and altered over time. It is constructed from coursed and squared stone with a slate roof.

The exterior features two storeys and originally had eleven windows, consisting of ten single-unit back-to-back dwellings, along with a two-unit, single-depth dwelling (No. 29) that faces Bazley Street. The doorways are framed with moulded architraves and topped with an entablature hood. The windows have all been renewed but remain in their original openings, featuring flat arched heads. There are brick and stone ridge chimneys.

The interior has not been inspected. This terrace is part of the model village of Barrow Bridge, which was established around 1831 by Robert Gardner to serve the nearby Dean Mills complex, which he also constructed.
