Description

Baronet Farmhouse, along with its attached farm buildings and cobbled yard, is a building of group value. The farmhouse is probably earlier than the 1872 date shown on the gable end of the barn. The farmhouse is constructed of handmade brick with a slate roof. It is two storeys high. The front features a centre door with a round-arched fanlight, set within a round brick arch of two orders. There are two windows on the ground floor and three above; the ground-floor windows have flat brick arched heads, while the upper-floor windows are mostly modern sashes. Attached to the rear are farm buildings arranged around an open courtyard, also built of old brick and with slate roofs, and featuring round windows. A cobbled yard sits in the middle of the complex. Baronet Farmhouse, Ford House Farmhouse, and No 2 Westford Road form a group.
