Description

33 Chester Road is a cottage dating from around 1800. It is constructed of brown brick in Flemish bond on the front, with a gabled grey slate roof and some patches of stonework on the left gable wall. The building stands two storeys high and has three windows. Originally, it was a two-bay farmhouse that included a shippon and hayloft under the same roof. All openings feature camber heads, and the arched opening to the former shippon is blocked with matching brickwork. The windows are small 3-light small-pane casements, and there is a replacement door. There are no internal features of special interest.
