Description

The building comprises a farmhouse and attached farm buildings, dating to approximately 1877/8. Constructed of squared coursed limestone with a Collyweston slate roof, the farmhouse follows a double-depth plan. It has two storeys and a three-window front, featuring two-light stone mullion windows; the first-floor windows are topped with gablets. A prominent three-light stone mullion window with a stepped head is centrally located on the first floor. A central gabled porch, with a four-centre arch-head doorway and plank door, provides access. Ashlar gable parapets and ashlar stacks are positioned at the ridge and ends. A plaque incorporating cross keys is set into the head of the central first-floor window. The left and right elevations mirror the front, with a projecting window on the ground floor to the left. A two-storey building in a similar style is attached to the rear. To the right is a U-shaped range of farm buildings, including a central barn alongside stables and cartsheds, likely dating to the late 18th/early 19th century. The interior remains uninspected. The building has group value.
