Description

Banhaw Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the mid to late 17th century, with later additions from the 18th to 20th centuries. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone and features a Collyweston slate roof. The building originally had a two-unit plan but now has an irregular L-shape. It has two storeys with an attic.

The main front displays a two-window range of three-light, cavetto-moulded, stone-mullion windows. There are two hipped roof dormers, an ashlar gable parapet on the left, and ashlar stacks at both ends. To the right, there is an attached two-window range with a lower eaves level, featuring two- and four-light, ovolo-moulded, stone mullion windows. A 20th-century door is located on the ground floor to the left, set beneath a stone lintel with a keyblock. The right side also has ashlar gable parapets and an ashlar stack at the end.

On the far right, there is a one-window range with a two-light, cavetto-moulded, stone mullion window on the ground floor and similar windows in the gable end. The rear wing consists of a two-window range of casement windows under wooden lintels, along with a wooden lean-to porch. The interior has not been inspected.
