Description
This is a house located at 11 Lower Benefield, dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone and features a thatched roof. Originally designed with a two-unit plan, the house is a single storey with an attic. The ground floor has a four-window range, consisting of 19th and 20th century casement windows beneath wooden lintels. There are two eyebrow dormers in the attic, each with casement windows. The building has a rebuilt ashlar stack at one end, and the entrance is located at the rear. Inside, there is likely a blocked open fireplace and spine beams. This house is included in the listing for its group value.
