Description
Number 10 Messuage Farmhouse and the attached outbuilding are a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century to the 19th century. The building is constructed of squared coursed limestone and features thatch and Collyweston slate roofs. It has a three-unit plan and is two storeys high, with a three-window range of 19th-century style casements set under wooden lintels. There is a plank door to the right of the centre, also under a wooden lintel. The farmhouse has ashlar gable parapets and kneelers, along with stone and ashlar stacks at the ridge and ends. The attached outbuilding on the right was remodelled in the 19th century as a butcher's shop and has a Collyweston slate roof. This single-storey outbuilding features a plank door and an attached window, both under a single wooden lintel, and has a small 19th-century extension at the rear. Inside the farmhouse, there are two open fireplaces with bressumers, spine beams, and restored, reset 17th-century panelling in the hall.
