Description
Benefield Post Office is a house that has been converted into a house and shop, dating from the late 18th century and 19th century. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone and features a Collyweston slate roof. The building originally had a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high. The façade includes a three-window range of 19th-century casements set beneath wooden lintels. To the right, there is a 19th-century plank door, also under a wooden lintel, which is accompanied by a 20th-century porch. To the left, there is a 20th-century glazed shop door, again under a wooden lintel. At both ends of the building, there are brick stacks. A single-storey extension from the 19th century is located to the right and has a part-leaded casement under a wooden lintel. The interior has not been inspected.
