Description
No. 8 Booth's Lane is a house built in 1677, with a mid 20th-century extension. It features painted sandstone walls and a graded grey-green slate roof. The original 17th-century section is rectangular, two storeys high, and has two windows, with a gable facing the road. There is a plain plinth and a cyma band at the first floor. The front has a five-light window on each storey, with the upper window featuring a dripmould with looped ends. On the gable, there are a datestone marked GIC1677 and a sundial. The right side has two three-light windows on each storey, all of which have recessed cyma-moulded mullions. The 20th-century extension is set back on the right side. The early 19th-century house attached to the left is not included in this listing.
