Description

The Lodge is a former lodge to Norton Priory, now a private dwelling, dating from the early to mid 19th century and featuring alterations and additions. The building is constructed of red sandstone and has a slate roof. It is a single-storey structure with two bays. There are two-light mullion windows and a door opening that has been built up, which features a pulvinated stone architrave. The windows have cast iron lattice casements, and the eaves cornice is supported by stone brackets. The hipped roof is covered with large slates and includes lead rolls, and there is a stone chimney stack.
