Description

This is a canal milepost located to the rear of numbers 34-42 Runcorn Road. It is made of cast iron and is painted black and white. The post is circular with a moulded head and features embossed letters on two convex tablets. The tablets indicate distances, stating "Shardlow 86 miles" and "Preston Brook 6 miles."
