Description

This footpath guidepost, located 40 meters north-west of number 123 on Saughall Road, dates from the late 19th century and was made by W H Smith and Co. in Whitchurch. It features a tapering octagonal cast-iron shaft that displays the maker's name. The guidepost has a moulded cap topped with a ball finial and includes a single finger plate with nicked corners that reads, "PUBLIC FOOTPATH TO MOLLINGTON PLEASE KEEP TO PATH."
