Description
The monument to Bishop John Graham is located in the north part of Overleigh Cemetery and dates from around 1866. It is made of sandstone and features a base of two square steps leading up to a freestone plinth. An octagonal column with a stiff-leaf capital rises from the plinth. The inscription on the plinth reads: "JOHN GRAHAM D.D. BISHOP OF CHESTER. BORN 25 FEBRUARY 1794 : DIED 15 JUNE 1865. CHARLOTTE GRAHAM HIS WIFE BORN 12 MAY 1802 : DIED 29 JANUARY 1881 (?)".
