Description

The Village Institute, formerly a Sunday School, dates from around 1840. It is constructed of local brown brick in Flemish bond and features a grey slate roof with a chimney on the left gable. The front of the building has two basket-arched cast-iron lattice windows set in two-light Gothick wood frames, along with one pointed-arch lattice window located in the right gable. There is also a 20th-century lean-to porch on the right gable wall.
