Description
Church Cottages, located on Long Lane in Waverton, are a pair of estate cottages built around 1865 for the 2nd Marquess of Westminster. The cottages are constructed from irregularly coursed dressed red sandstone and feature a Welsh slate roof with triangular stone copings on the kneelers. There are central and two gable chimneys. The building is two stories high with a symmetrical six-bay front. The central two bays, which are under coped gables, have three-light casement windows below and two-light windows above, both with label moulds. The end bays also have similar two-light windows, while the second and fifth bays feature board doors, all set under label moulds. There are single lights in the gable ends, also with label moulds. The interior has not been inspected.
