Description
Castleview Church Cottages are a pair of estate cottages built in 1855 and 1863 for the 2nd Marquess of Westminster. They are constructed of orange brick in English garden wall bond, with sandstone dressings. The cottages feature a Welsh slate roof with triangular stone copings on the kneelers and a large central brick chimney. The buildings are two stories tall with a symmetrical four-bay front. The central two bays, which are under coped gables, have three-light casements below and two-light casements above, both with label moulds. The end bays are one-story porches with doors that have label moulds above, and each porch has a date plaque (1855 on the left and 1863 on the right). The interior has not been inspected. The cottages are listed for their group value.
