Description
The attached farm building to Grig Hill Farmhouse is a former cottage and barn, dating from the late 17th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed from irregular red sandstone blocks, with sections of timber-framing, and features a corrugated iron roof over thatch. The building has an L-shaped plan and consists of one and two stories with a two-bay front. The right end bay has a coped gable supported by kneelers and contains two openings with board doors. The left end features some timber-framing and a board door. The far end gable is also coped and kneelered. Inside, the end wall of the timber-framed section is made of rubble stone, and while the roof has been repaired, it retains cleft rafters.
