Two Mile House

Two Mile House is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century, which has been altered and extended on the left and rear sides in the late 19th century. The walls are constructed of small brown bricks arranged in an irregular bond, and the roof is covered with grey slate, featuring sandstone kneelers and gable copings. There is a central brick chimney that has been largely rebuilt. The original building was a symmetrical three-bay structure with a central front gable, standing at 2½ storeys high. It has a plain band at the first floor and a corbelled brick band at the second floor. To the right, there is a two-storey, two-bay extension of uncertain date, built in similar brickwork. The window and door openings have been altered; the original block features recessed small-pane sashes, while the right wing has recessed, mullioned softwood casements. There have been late 19th and 20th-century alterations and additions at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
