Description

The tombchest of Reverend M Reay and his four children is located 5 meters west of the south porch of St Michael's Church. The earliest date associated with the tombchest is 1767, although it may have been erected later. It is made of red sandstone ashlar and features a moulded plinth. The long sides of the tombchest have two panels separated by flutings, with additional flutings at the corners and a single panel on the short side. The top slab is adorned with a cyma-moulded cornice and deeply cut serifed lettering.
