Description
This chest tomb, located approximately 18 metres north of the tower of the Church of St Michael, is likely from the early 19th century. It is constructed of hamstone ashlar and features a moulded plinth. The lid has a low-pitched ridge and moulded edges. The sides of the tomb are adorned with fielded panels that have bead-moulded surrounds. On the long sides, there are central rectangular panels flanked by narrow upright panels. The main panel on the south side contains an inscription in Roman serif upper and lower case lettering, but it is too faint to be read.
