Description
This tomb chest, located approximately 3 metres south-east of the south porch of the Church of St Michael, dates from the mid-18th century and is made of sandstone. It features a flat moulded top and square baluster corners. The inscriptions on the tomb include "Thomas Merrick ..... died June 1742," and the top slab has an inscription from the early 19th century.
