Description
This is an unidentified chest tomb located in the churchyard about 27 metres south of the nave of the Church of St. Michael. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed from limestone and sandstone. The tomb features a flat top with a moulded edge, slender quarter balusters, and a plinth set on a sandstone base. There are double inscription panels on the north and south sides, which are very worn, commemorating Hester, who died in 1827, and other members of the family.
