Description

Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely has origins from the 16th century but was rebuilt in the late 17th century. It features early 19th-century windows and underwent modernization in 1984. The building is constructed of irregular bond orange brick with a concrete tile roof and has a large projecting gable ashlar stack. It is two stories tall with a four-bay front. On the left side, there is a tall stone plinth and a sawtooth brick band at the first floor. The windows are small-pane iron casements with intersecting tracery and four hinged panels, topped with four-centred brick heads. The partly glazed door in the second bay has a wooden lintel and is accessed by two steps. Inside, the farmhouse has heavy chamfered ceiling beams, and a room at the rear features chamfered and stopped joists. It retains old timber wall plates and a wattle and daub partition wall. There is a plain baluster staircase from the 19th century with circular newels, and a rock-cut cellar that can be reached by a winder stone staircase.
