Description
The barn at Brook Farm is a 17th-century structure that features a timber frame with rendered infill and a tiled roof. The front yard has a stone and brick plinth supporting twelve by two cells of uneven framing, with angle braces positioned at the right, left, and center. On the left side, there are two 19th-century stable doors, while to the left and right of the center, there is one single-light and one three-light casement window, respectively. The right gable end is close studded and includes a middle rail and tension passing braces on both sides. There is a two-light casement window in the gable. The building shows two sets of purlins. The rear features fourteen cells of uneven framing with angle braces at the center and right, along with two single-light and two two-light 19th-century casement windows. A gabled loft door is located on the left side. The barn is adjacent to 19th-century farm buildings on the left, which are not included in this listing.
