Description
No. 1 Albert Street is a small town house built around 1835. It features Flemish bond brown brick and a grey slate roof, standing two storeys high with a double front. The building exhibits late Georgian architectural style, characterized by a painted stone plinth and a pilastered doorcase that includes a frieze and a cornice hood. The entrance door has six fielded panels and a two-pane overlight above it. On either side of the door, there are 16-pane recessed sash windows. The first floor has two unequal 12-pane sash windows. Additional features include a cast-iron rainwater pipe and head, a painted stone cyma cornice, and a projecting gable chimney on the left side. The right gable end, which was formerly a party wall to a now-demolished adjoining house, has been rebuilt. The interior has not been inspected.
