Description
65 and 65A Egerton Street is a town house built between 1829 and 1833. It features Flemish bond brown brick and a grey slate hipped mansard roof. The building has two storeys and a double-fronted south face that overlooks the Chester canal. The entrance door consists of six fielded panels and is topped by a radial-bar fanlight, set within an opening that has recessed pilasters and a gauged-brick arch. There are almost flush sashes, now with four panes and horned, on either side of the door, as well as three similar sashes on the first floor. A coved cornice supports a one-course stone parapet. The side facing Egerton Street has two four-pane horned sashes on each storey and two roof-lights. The interior has not been inspected.
