Description
The Old Ship Inn is a public house dating from the early 19th century, with 20th-century alterations and additions at the rear. It is built of washed brick and has a Welsh slate roof, featuring four brick chimneys. The building is two stories high with a four-bay front. The windows are three-light horizontal sliding sashes with glazing bars, set under cambered brick heads. The third bay includes a later 19th-century wooden doorcase with plain pilasters and a projecting flat hood, topped by a semi-circular fanlight over a four-panelled door. Inside, there are some exposed sawn ceiling beams, while the remaining features are from the 20th century.
