Description
Spurstow Hall is an early 19th-century farmhouse constructed of brown brick in both Flemish and English bond, with a slate roof. The building is two storeys and an attic, with three bays and a double pile construction. A stone plinth runs along the base. The ground floor features a French window with glazing bars and a segmental head, flanked by two-light casements with stone sills and segmental brick heads with herringbone infilling. Small segmental bay windows with glazing bars are located in the outer bays. First-floor windows are three-light casements with stone sills and segmental brick heads. The attic has windows in half-dormers with gabled roofs, featuring barge boards with quatrefoil-shaped perforations and finials. The slate roof covering is laid in diminished courses, and the ridge is divided into three equal sections by two stacks. Twin gables each have two bay windows and barge boards. The interior retains bevelled beams, six-panel doors, panelled window shutters, and some dado panelling.
