Description
Rose Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century. It is timber framed with whitewashed infill and has a plain tile roof. The building features a projecting plinth that supports six by two cells of uneven framing, with arch braces at the corners. On the front, there are three 20th-century two-light casement windows and a 20th-century plank door positioned on the right. To the right of the center, there is a three-light gabled dormer, also from the 20th century.
On the right side, there is a section of plain rendered walling that was originally timber framed, while to the left, there is an addition from the 18th or 19th century, which also has plain rendered walling. The right gable end displays tension bracing and five by two cells of small framing. At the rear, there are thirteen by two cells of uneven framing, featuring four angle braces located on the fifth and eighth uprights from the left and on the far right upright. All windows in the building are from the 20th century.
