Description
The Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century. It features a timber frame with rendered infill and brick, topped with a shingled roof. The building has two storeys. On the entrance front, to the left, there are five by two cells of small framing with angle braces on both sides. A doorway is located on the left, and to the right is a two-light 20th-century casement window. Above, on the first floor, there is a two-light gabled casement dormer window. To the right, there is brick walling painted to resemble timber framing, with French windows on the ground floor and another two-light gabled casement dormer window similar to the one on the left. The left gable end displays simulated timber framing made of attached planks. The rear of the house has six by two cells of uneven framing with angle braces on both sides. To the left is a projecting 20th-century wing, also painted to simulate timber framing. Inside, the ground floor rooms feature chamfered ceiling beams.
