Description
The building is a former shippon with a loft, now mainly used for storage, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish Bond and features an old slate roof laid in diminishing courses. The structure has three storeys and four bays. There is a three-storey-high carriageway opening on the south-west side, with a corresponding opening in the rear (north) wall. The ground floor and first floor have full height boarded doors, while the second floor includes pitch-holes with rebated openings, stone sills, stone hinge and latch blocks, and segmental arches. The brick walls feature breather holes arranged in cross and diamond patterns, and there is a saw-tooth course at the eaves. Inside, there is a full-length beam, a joisted and boarded first floor, and Queen Post Trusses.
