Description
The statue group located in the forecourt of Dorfold Hall is a large iron sculpture created around 1862. It features a larger than life-sized female dog standing in a defiant pose over three puppies, with one of her feet knocking over a feeding bowl. The dog has a section of chain hanging from her neck. The figures are in their natural oxidized iron color and are connected by a thin metal base plate. The group is supported by a two-step-high oval stone base.
