Cottage, late C17. Brick nogged timber frame with slate roof. 2 storeys, 4 window bays. High sandstone plinth. Close studding (22 panels) with middle rail, short angle and tension braces. 3-light cast-iron lattice windows. At the rear (west) the framing is larger being divided into only 16 panels with single rail over windows. There are three 4-light windows in the rear (garden front) and the entrance is a pair of french windows. The north gable has a slightly projecting bressumer. Central brick chimney stack. Interior: Deep bevelled beams, wide boarded doors.
