Description

No. 6 on Middlewich Road is a late 17th-century building that has undergone significant alterations. It features a timber frame with painted cement infilling and stands two storeys tall. The timber frame has been restored, and the building now has modern casement windows. The doorway has been renewed with a modern oak ledged door set in a new frame, topped with a restored segmental weather-hood. The roof has been altered and covered with modern tiles, and there is a small modern single-storey wing on the right side. Inside, the building retains exposed framing timbers and ceiling beams throughout, although it has been otherwise much altered.
