Description

Grammar School Lodge was built between 1849 and 1850 and designed by the architect Sir George Gilbert Scott. This single-storey building is in the Gothic style and features red brick with blue brick patterns and stone dressings. The lodge has an L-shaped plan, stone-coped gables, and pointed arched windows with stone mullions. There is a splay bay window facing the road, and on the left-hand side, there is a porch with a blocked doorway and window. The roof is tiled.
