Description
Foden's Farm is a late 17th-century farmhouse located on Groby Road in the former Borough of Crewe. The building features a brick nogged timber frame and a tiled roof, standing two storeys high with three window bays. The timber framing is irregularly spaced, primarily visible on the front and rear of the house. There are remnants of passing braces and two original small mullion windows that have been filled in, with later casements added elsewhere. A single-storey wing has been altered on the west side, with a rendered gable. The farmhouse has gable barge boards and small one-flue stacks.
Inside, the property showcases bevelled beams and exposed ceiling joists, along with one old ledged and battened door.
