Description

Cherry Tree Farmhouse is a late 17th-century farmhouse located on Radway Green Road in Barthomley. It is constructed as a timber-frame building with plaster and brick nogging, and has a gable tile roof. The original farmhouse comprised three bays, with a later wing added to the east. The timber framing is irregular, incorporating angle braces. A 20th-century porch now houses a fully glazed door, alongside an external framed ledged and battened door with false strap hinges. Windows are lattice casements, some with metal opening lights, set in altered frames; the first-floor windows are all within gabled dormers. Internally, the building features ovolo-moulded beams and exposed ceiling joists.
