Description
Whitewell House is an early 19th-century building constructed of red brick and features two storeys. It has a broad, slight central projection and three sash windows across the front, each with plain reveals and flat brick arches. A stone string course serves as a sill. The entrance is highlighted by a moulded wood pilaster doorcase, which includes a flat segmental fanlight with glazing bars, a later half-glazed door with sidelights, and a portico supported by slender fluted columns that have wrought-iron side trellis. The house also has moulded wood eaves and a hipped slate roof. It is set back from the road within its grounds and was undergoing restoration when inspected in 1972.
