Description

Oak Cottages is a former terrace of six mill workers' cottages, now comprising four cottages, built around 1820 for Samuel Greg. The cottages are constructed of orange brick in English garden wall bond, topped with a Welsh slate roof and featuring five brick chimneys. The building has a rectangular plan and is two stories high with a symmetrical, ten-bay south front. The windows are restored iron small-pane casements with two lights, set on stone sills beneath segmental rough brick heads. Two of the windows are now located in blocked doorways, and there are similar brick heads above two board doors. The doors for Nos. 33 and 39 are situated in the gable ends.
