Description
A row of four houses, now used as three shops, dating to approximately 1820 to 1830. The building is constructed of painted brick with heavy slate roofs. It is a double-pile row of single-unit dwellings, arranged over two storeys with a four-window facade. A moulded doorcase is present at number 8, while Nos 10 and 12 feature round-arched doors, one of which is now blocked. Shallow bow windows have been inserted in numbers 8, 10, and 14 to accommodate the shops. An inserted shop window is visible at number 12, and the flat-arched brick head of an earlier window can still be seen behind it. The upper floors have moulded 12-pane sash windows. End wall stacks are present. The interior remains uninspected. Group value is assessed as significant.
