Description

The aqueduct carrying the Middlewich Branch of the Shropshire Union Canal over Nantwich Road was built in 1829. It is constructed of Flemish bond blue-brown and blue brick. The structure features a deep segmental arch with stone springers that create rounded projecting bands. It has canted brick abutments and plain stone copings.
