Description

The retaining west wall of Woodhey Chapel is a low wall built in the early 18th century. It is made of coursed red sandstone and measures 38 meters long. The wall features a projecting plinth and has a weathered course where it becomes thinner beneath a square coping course. This wall supports a narrow ramped grassed area that leads to the front of the loggia at the west end of Woodhey Chapel, which is adjacent to the walled garden.
