Description
The barn south of Woodhey Hall dates from the early 17th century and was remodeled around 1870. It features a brick nogged timber frame and brickwork, topped with a tile roof. The structure is two storeys high and consists of four bays. It has a stone plinth and retains some original timber framing with angle braces on the north and south elevations, although many areas have been rebuilt in brick. The east gable showcases flush stone quoins. There are boarded doors fitted with strap hinges and modern hopper light windows, along with a single three-light cast iron lattice window at first floor level. Inside, the barn contains Queen post trusses with purlin struts and high-level collars. The building is listed for its group value.
