Description
The war memorial located at the east end of The Green in Southwick was constructed around 1920. It is made of white granite with dark granite panels. The memorial features a stepped base leading up to a rusticated square column topped with a pedimented cornice. The sides of the column are concave, and it has a flat-topped coping. Each side of the memorial has labelled panels with raised centers that display bronze letters and decorations. The east side features a laurel wreath and the years 1914 and 1918, along with the phrase "LEST WE FORGET" on the white granite. The west side has a plain cross, while the north side displays the years 1939 and 1945.
