Description
This is a house located on Roker Terrace, dating from around 1850. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a Welsh slate roof with a brick chimney that has been raised. The building has two storeys and two windows. There are steps leading up to a six-panelled door on the left side, which is of the Sunderland type and folds back to reveal an inner door, framed by pilasters and an entablature. On the right side, there is a canted bay window with a flat roof supported by wooden pilasters, and a cornice that continues from the ground floor cornice. The bay window has plain sash windows, while the first floor features similar sashes with flat stone lintels and moulded stone sills supported by short brackets. The house also has an eaves band, a cornice, and a painted wooden gutter cornice. The roof includes a chimney at the right end that has been raised due to the construction of a taller adjacent house.
