Description
The balustrade on the steps from Salisbury Street to Toward Road is a mid-19th century feature made of wrought iron. It consists of plain stick balusters and slender tapered newels, which have bases adorned with acanthus foliage and simplified foliage at the capitals. The balustrade supports plain band handrails on the north side of the lower flight and on both sides of the upper two flights of steps.
