Description
The balustrading and steps around the lawn immediately south of Stowell Park House were built in the 19th century. Made of limestone and ashlar, the balustrading surrounds the lawn on three sides and features two sets of steps leading from the upper terrace to the drive. The balustrading consists of groups of square balusters placed at regular intervals along a low wall that is approximately 90 centimeters high. It has a flat capping with a moulded margin, and there are pedestals with moulded cappings and ball finials integrated into the solid parts of the wall.
