Description
All Saints' Cemetery mortuary chapels, built in 1856 by Green, consist of two chapels constructed from coursed squared sandstone, featuring ashlar turrets and dressings, with Welsh slate roofs. The chapels are arranged in a T-plan, with an additional porch on the side away from the center of the cemetery and a corner turret at the south end. They are aligned north-south and designed in a decorated style. The inner fronts have double doors with elaborate hinges, nook shafts, and head-stopped dripmoulds, while a plainer door in the outward-facing porch has a similar surround. The windows consist of three lights facing the gateway and two lights on the other fronts, all with similar dripmoulds. The corner turrets feature lancet windows and gabled belfries topped with octagonal spirelets. The chapels also have buttresses and steeply-pitched roofs adorned with cross finials.
